Drilling manufacturer leases 200K sf in NW Houston

​​​​Basintek headquarters in HoustonHOUSTON – Basintek LLC has signed a 200,000-sf renewal and expansion at 713 Northpark Central Dr. ​

The company currently occupies 150,000 sf in the park and will move into its additional 50,000-sf space in August, said Dan O'Sullivan, Basintek's president.

The lease is the sixth-largest industrial deal that's closed in Houston this year, per the NAI Partners spokesperson.

Atlanta firm opening regional office in Craig Ranch

Cotiviti's regional office sits in more than 41,000 sf of subleased office space at McKinney Corporate Center in Craig Ranch.

The growing firm relocated 150 employees and plans to add 120 new jobs to the city in the next three years.

With the deal, the McKinney Economic Development Corp. gave the analytics firm economic incentives for the planned expansion of 120 new jobs.

Formosa Plastics adding 340 permanent jobs

POINT COMFORT – Formosa Plastics Corp. has been undergoing a $5 billion expansion since 2015 and is scheduled to finish in late 2018. 

The expansion will add about 800 acres to the plant, bringing it to a total of 2,300 acres, and will add about 140 permanent jobs to Jackson County and 200 to Calhoun County.

The expansion will broaden the company's plastic resins product line by adding low-density polyethylene resins to increase the product mix and increase overall productivity.

  • Jackson County officials approved an agreement that gave a six-year abatement in 2015. Between 2016 and 2021, instead of taxes, Formosa would pay the county $2.3 million.

  • Formosa's acreage is about 1,500 but will be about 2,300 after the growth project.
